Hall of Fame Sig­nage High­lights a School’s His­to­ry of State Cham­pi­onships at Lin­coln-Way High School

This unique Hall of Fame instal­la­tion includes envi­ron­men­tal graph­ics, sig­nage, and a dig­i­tal screen. All of this comes togeth­er to shine a light on the rich his­to­ry of suc­cess and can be updat­ed with future endeavors.

Walk­ing through the halls of Lin­coln-Way East high school in Frank­fort, Illi­nois, is like walk­ing through the pages of a school year­book. Team pic­tures, action shots, and pho­tos of teams hold­ing up state cham­pi­onship tro­phies line the school’s new State Cham­pi­ons wall.

Along the wall, there is a plaque for every state cham­pi­onship team and state run­ner up. ​“Lin­coln-Way East has a his­to­ry of suc­cess, and they want­ed to cel­e­brate their school’s accom­plish­ments in a dynam­ic way,” says Tom Wilcox­en, Busi­ness Devel­op­ment at Lat­i­tude Sig­nage + Design.

Our team deliv­ered a high impact school record wall that is per­son­al­ized to the stu­dents. To start things off, vinyl graph­ics were applied direct­ly to a con­crete wall. This high ener­gy design serves as the base for a video screen that high­lights the school’s most recent achieve­ments. There are also dimen­sion­al let­ters that announce the Hall of Fame and give the space texture.

Fol­low­ing the col­or­ful intro­duc­tion to the Hall of Fame there is a spe­cial spot that fea­tures the school’s most recent state cham­pi­onship. Con­tin­u­ing down the hall­way is plaque after plaque cel­e­brat­ing the school’s ath­let­ic prowess. 

Each plaque has a light­weight MDF base cov­ered with a dig­i­tal print com­prised of team pho­tos, news­pa­per clip­pings, and action shots that high­light that year’s team. The year, sport, and state cham­pi­ons title is cre­at­ed with dimen­sion­al acrylic let­ters, acrylic, and brushed alu­minum in light brass or satin alu­minum finishes.

With Lin­coln-Way East’s tra­di­tion of suc­cess, we knew this wasn’t going to be a one-time instal­la­tion. Our expert sig­nage team devel­oped an instal­la­tion process that makes it pos­si­ble to rotate in the newest cham­pi­onship plaque and seam­less­ly add plaques along the school’s hall of fame wall.
