Frisco Tran­sit Cen­ter Sig­nage: Fol­low Us to Fresh Pow­der in the Rocky Mountains

New tran­sit cen­ter sig­nage in Sum­mit Coun­ty, Col­orado is a hub for locals and vis­i­tors alike.

Nes­tled between the ski resorts in Breck­en­ridge and Key­stone is the charm­ing town of Frisco in Sum­mit Coun­ty, Col­orado. This small town is home to almost 3,000 res­i­dents, but it serves as a hub for mil­lions of vis­i­tors look­ing for out­door adven­tures every year. As the area grew in pop­u­lar­i­ty with tourists, the need for pub­lic trans­porta­tion also grew. 

To help adven­ture-seek­ers and local work­ers get around Sum­mit Coun­ty, there is a free pub­lic trans­porta­tion sys­tem called the Sum­mit Stage. It con­nects ski areas, shop­ping cen­ters, med­ical cen­ters, and some res­i­den­tial areas in Frisco, Breck­en­ridge, Key­stone, Dil­lion, and Silverthorne. 

The main hub for the Sum­mit Stage is the Frisco Tran­sit Cen­ter, where vis­i­tors can also catch a ride to Den­ver or oth­er major cities on a Grey­hound or Bus­tang bus. Air­port shut­tles and pop­u­lar ride-share apps also use the Frisco Tran­sit Cen­ter for fre­quent arrivals and departures.

With so many locals and tourists com­ing and going all year round, it was essen­tial that the Frisco Tran­sit Cen­ter have top-notch Wayfind­ing sig­nage. ​“Every­one uses this tran­sit cen­ter,” says Justin Halver­son, Busi­ness Devel­op­ment at Lat­i­tude Sig­nage + Design. ​“We are proud of the clear direc­tion­al sig­nage we pro­duced and installed because we know that mil­lions of vis­i­tors will be using it to catch the right bus.”

There are tall mon­u­ment signs that stand 13 feet tall and direct guests to pub­lic park­ing areas and shut­tle drop-off loca­tions. The signs are made with a steel frame and an alu­minum pan­el with text and arrows in reflec­tive vinyl. There are also sev­er­al post and pan­el direc­tion­al signs point­ing rid­ers to the cor­rect bus. 

Whether the rid­ers are head­ed to work, are hop­ping from slope to slope, or have just arrived in Frisco for the very first time, the Wayfind­ing sig­nage at the Frisco Tran­sit Cen­ter makes it easy for them to get where they need to be.
